Water & climate: Latin American connections

I would like to bring your attention to a new project which will conduct socioeconomic studies of the links between water and climate change in Latin America and the Caribbean. The Program on Governance and Socioeconomics of Environmental Goods and Services (GSEBSA) at CATIE, with financial support from the Climate Change and Water Program of the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) of Canada, just launched a new project called “Strengthening the capacity building and research in environmental economics to study the links between water and climate change”. This project is a three year collaboration between LACEEP, EfD-CA, and the CEDE at the Universidad de Los Andes, Colombia.

Adaptation and DRR in Latin America workshop

Stockholm Environment Institute, the UN Strategy for International Disaster Reduction, the Tropical Agricultural Research and Higher Education Center (CATIE) and the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (FLACSO) invite early-career researchers, professionals, practitioners and others from Latin America working in the field of climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction to submit their applications to participate in a writeshop for the Latin American region from 25-29 July in Turrialba, Costa Rica.  The writeshop will be held in Spanish.  Please find the description below.
