The German Government and Stakeholder Forum invite you to participate in the workshop “Towards Bonn2011 Conference: The Water, Energy and Food Security Nexus - Solutions for the Green Economy”.
The workshop will offer civil society organisations the opportunity to input into the Bonn 2011 Conference: The Water, Energy and Food Security Nexus - Solutions for the Green Economy to be held from 16 to 18 November 2011; and therefore, into the Rio+20 discussions on the Green Economy.

The contributions to an international scientific workshop (20-23 June 2011, Bad Schoenbrunn, Switzerland) are published online now as Workshop Proceedings:

This four-day workshop, which was organised by the Institute for Social and Development Studies (www.hfph.de/igp) at the Munich School of Philosophy, was about "water management options in a globalised world - promoting a dialogue between economics, ethics and other disciplines". About 20 scientists from various backgrounds came together to discuss about an adequate problem framing, different management options and ethical aspects.

On 27 and 28 June 2011, an international high-level conference with the title “For life, for the future. Biosphere reserves and climate change“ will take place in Germany, in the city of Dresden. The conference is held on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the UNESCO MAB programme. It is organized by UNESCO-MAB, the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, the German Federal Agency for Nature Conservation and the German Commission for UNESCO.
