IWRA World Water Congress

Since 1973, International Water Resources Association (IWRA) has held a World Water Congress every three years in various locations around the world. The objective of the World Water Congress is to provide a meeting place to share experiences, promote discussion, and to present new knowledge, research results and new developments in the field of water sciences around the world. The XIVth IWRA World Water Congress will be hosted from 25-29 September 2011 in Porto de Galinhas, right next to Recife in Brazil. The main theme of the congress will be “Adaptive Water Management: Looking to the future”.
The Congress International Scientific Committee has planned four central themes:
1. adaptive water management
2. water resources and global change
3. governance and water law
4. knowledge systems.
