I am pleased to inform you of the course " Addressing Household Food Security in the Context of Changing Climate." This course will be held next month, October 10 to 21, 2011 at the YC James Yen Campus in Silang, Cavite Philippines.

I am pleased to inform you of the course " Addressing Household Food Security in the Context of Changing Climate." This course will be held next month, October 10 to 21, 2011 at the YC James Yen Campus in Silang, Cavite Philippines.
The course provides participants a general understanding of the trends, challenges and opportunities with regard to global and local food security issues and their impacts, food security paradigms, tools and innovative approaches. Participants will study efforts among forest, upland and coastal communities in the Philippines. It will focus on participatory processes to involve and solicit stakeholders' commitment to food security programs.
The course will run for 12 days covering four modules:
Module 1: Understanding the Concept of Food Security, Poverty, Malnutrition, and Climate Change
and Disaster Risk,
Module 2: Strategies and Approaches to Improve Food Security,
Module 3: Assessing and Strengthening Food Security Projects through Monitoring and Evaluation and
Module 4: Action Planning.
