The Oregon Sea Grant program invites applications for a part-time (0.50 FTE), 12-month, fixed-term Faculty Research Assistant position. This is a grant-funded appointment located on the Corvallis campus. Initial funding for this position is available for 5 months at .50 FTE. Adjustments to the duration or FTE and renewal/extension may be considered, based on performance and availability of sufficient funds and at the discretion of the Oregon Sea Grant (OSG) program Director.

The climate engagement research assistant will be part of a team of Oregon Sea Grant and Oregon State University faculty who conduct research, Extension, education and communication activities relating to climate variability and change and coastal resilience on the Oregon coast and elsewhere. http://seagrant.oregonstate.edu
This position plans and conducts research and evaluates coastal climate change and community adaptation activities for stakeholders in Oregon. Collaborates with coastal communities, scientists, resource managers, and interest groups in Oregon, providing a research-based perspective to climate change discussions and deliberations. The position will report to the OSG Program's Assistant Director and Communications Leader, and consult with the OSG Director and other faculty as appropriate. Occasional overnight travel, and weekend and evening work may be required.
